Answers to frequently asked questions about classes, safety, and enrollment for juniors.
CCK Juniors welcomes children ages 5 to 12, with small-group classes divided by age and ability. Instructors adapt drills to each child's level, ensuring age-appropriate challenges and progress. Contact us for placement if your child is younger or older.
We prioritize safety through proper warm-ups, progressive skill development, supervised contact, and mandatory protective gear. Coaches monitor form and rest intervals, adapting intensity to each child. Our curriculum balances cardio, strength, flexibility and recovery to improve health without overtraining.
Children should wear comfortable athletic clothing and non-slip shoes or train barefoot per class. Bring a water bottle and towel. For contact classes, bring or purchase gloves and a mouthguard; beginners can borrow basic protective gear until they have their own.
Yes. Classes are structured by age and ability, with separate beginner and advanced sessions. Coaches individualize drills and progressions so each child builds skills safely. Advanced students receive competition-focused training while beginners concentrate on fundamentals and fitness.
Progress is measured through skill assessments, belt or level promotions, fitness benchmarks, and coach feedback. We track improvements in technique, endurance, flexibility and confidence, and share regular updates with parents to set goals and adjust training plans.
We maintain clean facilities, sanitize equipment, and require sick children to stay home. Coaches are certified in first aid and CPR. Policies adapt to current public health guidance; we communicate updates to families and offer remote or modified sessions if needed.
